He has bult a relationship with the Melton Shire Council, in particular youth services to train young people still in school how to present radio. Before this role he has been president (early nineties) and has been involed in the management of the station in some capacity in between. He says of 979fm and community radio in general, "Community radio is certainly a great hobby and I recommend it... There is sure to be a station near you. Get involved!"
Sometimes you just want to lay down tools and stop work. The day to day grind just gets a bit too much for you. A great antidote to stress and fatigue is a good cup of Earl Gray tea while you sit back in your most comfortable chair, put your feet up and listen to some good music. The Tea Break is a program which will help you do just that, designed to let you relax and unwind. Bill Lucas plays music from the era when music was music. No shouting hip hop stars, no pounding - headache inducing - rock drumming but only melodic music with tunes you can recognise and perhaps sing along to. Join Bill every Friday afternoon for a great musical experience. |
